Greek Life at UNLV
This is the first of three posts about Greek Life at UNLV. These posts will give you all the information that you need in order to begin your journey towards your chosen fraternity or sorority. These posts are written by (at the time of posting) current Greek Life participants.
One thing that UNLV has to offer are the various fraternity and sorority organizations ranging from the different Greek councils. Greek life on campus helps students stay engaged with their academics while also building new connections. Each organization hosts different philanthropies which help give back to the community and also provide a fun environment for all students. Most, if not all, fraternities and sororities host many community service and social events to help keep its members engaged.

There are various councils to choose from at UNLV: Inter-Fraternity Council, National Pan-Hellenic Council, Pan-Hellenic Council, and the Multi-Cultural Greek Council. Each council is chosen according to a student's preference. One thing to note about Greek life at UNLV is that it is a great way for students to get the most out of their higher education. Staying involved in college has proven higher percentages of undergraduates graduating. If this type of Greek lifestyle isn’t for you, there are also academic specific organizations that focus mostly on just academics.
